Team Blue News

Hello.  My name is Brian Murer.  I am a third year graduate student attending the University of Wisconsin at Madison.  I am maker who builds generally in lamination construction with plywood and foam.  I make weird and strange objects that are intended to interrupt the moment of first glance.

I am fascinated with the salacious nature of human beings and the endeavors of those individuals who pursue everything in life.   The “spectacle” has snagged the majority and rendered them ineffective as human beings, which in turn leads them down a fantasy road paved in gold. I make representations of representations in order to understand the human condition caught in the spectacle, and to cope with my own personal fear of the end through the use of humor, military imagery, and sexually suggestive objects.
